Fight in the Dog
Fight in the Dog is an Award Winning Production Company which exists to allow a huge range of young theatre and comedy makers the ability to make contemporary and unique work. Fight in the Dog was established with the intention of bridging the gap between the worlds of theatre and comedy. We intend to create work that’s at once as funny as the best comedy and as thought-provoking as the best theatre – innovative, provocative, experimental and surprising.
Fight in the Dog was formed after a supposedly small and relaxed charity production of Twelfth Night With Comedians got out of hand and sold out a 600-seater theatre and raised £9k for Refugee Action. In the same year we produced Travesty by Liam Williams, Ricky Whittington & his Cat by Daran Johnson and Liam Williams.
In 2017 we took our first roster of 7 shows to the Edinburgh Fringe to great critical acclaim. After producing these shows in London and across we saw our roster of shows double to 14 shows in 2018, and 14 shows again in 2019.
In 2018, Sarah Keyworth was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards with her show Dark Horse and in 2019 Jordan Brookes won Best Show at the Edinburgh Awards with his show I’ve Got Nothing
